Esteban A. Nicolini is doctor in Economics from the Pompeu Fabra University and professor at Universidad del Norte Santo Tomás de Aquino and Universidad Nacional de Tucumán (both in Argentina). He is visiting professor of the Economics department at Carlos III University (Spain). His main lines of research are related to Economic Growth, Economic Development and the evolution of living standards in historical perspective. He has published articles in the journals Economic History Review, Explorations in Economic History, European Review of Economic History, Journal of Economic History and Research in Economic History. He has worked on consulting projects related to public policies for Development, for the United Nations Program for Development (UNDP), UNICEF and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
