In recognition of its excellence and quality, the Master was granted with the National Security and Emergencies Award in the training field by the business group EUROSEG in 2006. It also achieved the first position in the “El Mundo” newspaper’s ranking of the business masters degrees and it was the only one of the ranking specialized in security in 2010 and 2011. It also won the Seguritecnia International Prize for Security Training in 2000.
The Master is sponsored by the State Secretariat for Security (Ministry of Domestic Affairs of Spain). It leads to a University Carlos III Diploma that constitutes a qualification suitable to obtain the Professional Security Manager official Qualification (Resolution of 9th February 1998, BOE of 25th February). The Advanced Course leads to a University Carlos III Expert Diploma. It also constitutes a qualification suitable to obtain the same Professional Qualification (Resolution of 8th September 1998, BOE of 15th September). The aim of both courses is the training of high level professionals. By combining different approaches and techniques of public and corporate governance, they intent to address the needs of security managers skills, an expanding professional field.
- For the Master: Bachelor, Engineering or Architecture Degree or equivalent.
