Brief Bio

Ahmed Hussein graduated with a Master of Science degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the German University in Cairo (GUC), Berlin campus, in May 2013, and received his PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Automation from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) in September 2018. He has been working with the Intelligent Systems Lab (LSI) research group at since March 2014. His research interests are focused on intelligent transportation systems fields, sensors data fusion, autonomous systems control, optimization techniques, computational intelligence and cooperative vehicles systems. Ahmed is Student Activities Chair for the IEEE ITSS Spanish Chapter, the General Co-Chair and Financial Chair of the IEEE ICVES 2018, and member in the organizing committee of IEEE RST 2016, IEEE ICVES 2017, IEEE ITSC 2018, and IEEE IROS 2018, among others.
