Jonas Radl is Associate Professor and "Ramón y Cajal" Fellow at the Department of Social Sciences of Carlos III University of Madrid. He is the Principal Investigator of the EFFORT project, which is funded by a Starting Grant of the European Research Council and hosted by the Carlos III Juan March Institute
He studied sociology at Free University in Berlin and received his PhD from the European University Institute in Florence. His research interests include social stratification, family, education and the life course, with a particular focus on investigating social differences in the transition from work to retirement. His work has appeared in international peer-reviewed journals such as Social Forces, European Sociological Review, Social Science Research, Work, Employment & Society and the Journal of Gerontology: Social Sciences.
