Markus Lampe, doctor en Economía por la Universidad de Münster (Alemania), es profesor de Historia Económica en la Universidad Carlos III. Ha publicado, entre otros, en el Journal of Economic History, Economic History Review, European Review of Economic History y Scandinavian Economic History Review. Sus principales lineas de investigacion consisten en comercio internacional y costes de comerciar (aranceles, flujos de información, uniones monetarias) y el desarrollo de la industria láctea danesa en el s. XIX.
