María Jesús Sánchez Naranjo is Associate Professor at the Technical University of Madrid since 2003.
Previously she was Assistant Professor and Grantholder between 1990 and 2003.
Her principal lines of research are: forecasting in energy markets with focus on large dimensional datasets, dimensionality reduction techniques in multivariate time series and outlier detection and intervention.
She has published over 20 papers in indexed journals and 10 peer reviewed chapters in books edited by IEEE, Springer or Wiley among others.
She has taken part in 22 research projects, in 10 of them being the main researcher.
She has supervised four PhD thesis, and nowadays another two are about to be completed.
