Autonomous Vehicles in Off-Road Scenarios Workshop Intelligent Vehicles Symposium (IV2016)
Call For Papers
Intelligent Systems Lab (LSI) is organizing the “Autonomous Vehicles in Off-Road Scenarios” workshop, which is included within the 2016 IEEE Intelligent Vehicles Symposium, to be held in Gothenburg, Sweden during the period from 19th to 22nd of June 2016.
The workshop aims to foster discussions about the use of autonomous vehicles in off road scenarios and to address specific challenges that these technologies face. The workshop is intended to provide a multi-modal view for off-road vehicles, including perspectives from the point of view of ground, railway, water and aerial vehicles.
The novel technologies related with the use of intelligent vehicles are opening doors to new and challenging applications. The advances in transportation technologies go further than classic road vehicles. Especially with the modern advances in transportation means developed, for both goods and passengers, including ground, water and aerial transports. All these scenarios present different challenges in comparison with road scenarios, and usually have to deal with different agents and perception needs.
Areas of Interest
Topics include but are not limited to the following:
Unmanned / Autonomous Aerial Vehicles
Unmanned / Autonomous Underwater Vehicles
Unmanned / Autonomous Trains
Unmanned / Autonomous Ground Vehicles for Off-Road Scenarios:
Paper Submission and Publication
Prospective authors are invited to submit contributions presenting original current research and ideas. An International Program Committee will analyze and review the works according to quality of presentation, relevance and potential contribution.
Accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings in a digital format and will be indexed in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
All accepted papers will imply that at least one of the co-authors attends the workshop to present the work.
Authors will be given a certain time to orally present their papers and discussion will be actively motivated among attendees.
Camera-ready manuscripts must be submitted by 22nd of April 2016.
The workshop welcomes contributions within the scope and topics of the forum. While preparing your manuscript, please follow the same formatting guidelines specified by IEEE IV’16 main conference. Style Files and Templates can be found here: [LaTeX] [Word].
All submitted papers must be formatted in the standard 2-column proceedings format, up to 6 pages in length. More info on manuscript preparation can be found here. Letter size must be used. Furthermore, due to space constraints on the proceedings of the conference, all papers are limited to a maximum of 2 MB file size.
Contributions must be electronically submitted in PDF files only, via the conference submission system for peer-review by the International Program Committee.
