Autonomous Vehicles in Off-Road Scenarios Workshop
Intelligent Vehicles Symposium (IV2016)

Call For Papers

Intelligent Systems Lab (LSI) is organizing the “Autonomous Vehicles in Off-Road Scenarios” workshop, which is included within the 2016 IEEE Intelligent Vehicles Symposium, to be held in Gothenburg, Sweden during the period from 19th to 22nd of June 2016.

The workshop aims to foster discussions about the use of autonomous vehicles in off road scenarios and to address specific challenges that these technologies face. The workshop is intended to provide a multi-modal view for off-road vehicles, including perspectives from the point of view of ground, railway, water and aerial vehicles.

The novel technologies related with the use of intelligent vehicles are opening doors to new and challenging applications. The advances in transportation technologies go further than classic road vehicles. Especially with the modern advances in transportation means developed, for both goods and passengers, including ground, water and aerial transports. All these scenarios present different challenges in comparison with road scenarios, and usually have to deal with different agents and perception needs.
