Sanz Feito, Javier

Abbreviated CV

Javier Sanz Feito was born in Madrid, Spain, in 1954. He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) in 1976 and 1980, respectively.
He has been Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering of UPM. From 1981 to 1982, he has been Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Oviedo, Spain. In 1992, he joined the University Carlos III of Madrid (UC3M), where he has been Dean of the School of Engineering and Head of the Electrical Engineering Department.

He has conducted research in modelling, control and design of electrical machines and drives, high voltage engineering, partial discharges phenomena in electrical insulating materials and renewable energy sources. His actual research interest also includes non-conventional energy systems for vehicular applications and distributed generation.
