PROF.ª PETRA BUTLER

Dr Petra Butler is a German and New Zealand qualified lawyer who specialises in international and domestic human rights law and international commercial law. In regard to the former she has co-authored the leading text on the New Zealand Bill of Rights Act 1990. Her focus in international commercial law lies in particular with the Convention on the International Sale of Good (the "CISG"). Petra co-authored with the late Professor Peter Schlechtriem a textbook on the CISG and contributed to the Kroell/Mistelis/Perales Viscasillas Commentary on the CISG. She is the national reporter for UNCITRAL on the CISG and the Electronic Commerce Convention. Petra regularly advises private clients and the New Zealand Government in both areas.
