Verlin B. Hinsz, Ph.D., is professor at North Dakota State University in Fargo having served over 31 years in various professor and administrative roles. His research and teaching efforts broadly cover work, organizational, and social psychology. He has published over 90 articles and chapters, and has been involved in over 190 national and international research presentations. The primary focus of his research is on the thought processes and social influences that impact the judgments and decisions of groups and individuals which ultimately affect their task performance. His research has been funded by the National Science Foundation, Air Force Office of Scientific Research, National Institutes of Health, US Department of Agriculture and others. Professor Hinsz also consults with federal research agencies. Professor Hinsz is a Fellow of seven professional organizations, serves on a National Research Council review panel, and has received awards from NDSU for his research efforts and mentoring activities.
